Transferring property includes the sale or acquisition of fee title interests in tangible real estate, and in some cases the negotiation and acquisition of air and related property rights. As such, the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate requires knowledge of the complexities of landowner and property rights in New York.

Purchases/Sales

When representing purchasers and sellers of real estate, McKinley Onua will perform the following services:

  • Review and negotiate purchase and sales contracts
  • Explain financing agreements
  • Seek loan and title commitments
  • Conduct lien searches
  • Provide Attorney Opinion Letters for the Lender (commercial)
  • Resolve any issues (including tenant issues, title problems, repairs, etc.) prior to closing
  • Verify all charges for the transaction
  • Attend the closing
  • Create a closing packet
  • Address any of the buyer’s questions and concerns
