Commercial real estate transactions are an integral part of the robust New York economy. McKinley Onua participates in these transactions by assisting business clients in various matters, including the following:

  • Residential Real Estate Transactions – Representing business owners in the sale or acquisition of apartment buildings, cooperatives, and “mixed-use” commercial spaces.
  • Real Estate Development – Reviewing construction contracts and financing agreements for development projects. Creating operating, shareholder and partnership agreements as well as forming LLCs for real estate development projects.
  • Construction – Covers all legal matters relating to construction, including general as well as subcontractor contracts.
  • Real Estate Financing – Preparing documents for mortgage-based lending or financial arrangements for raising development capital.
  • Real Estate Tax-Related Matters – Assist clients (through outside tax counsel) in real estate tax related matters such as city and state property tax benefit programs, including the New York City ICAP and New York State Empire Development Zones.
  • Zoning and Municipal Matters – Obtaining certificates, permits and other municipal approvals, as well as handling violations.
